Fall Semester Sessions consist of 12 one-hour weekly classes . Tuition is $300 for the semester. Class sizes are limited as we only have 9 hammocks. Classes include a warm up with lots of stretching and strength building and a check in. We review poses and learn challenge poses. We use games, art, sensory lessons and other activities to learn growth mindset, self-calming techniques, mindfulness and how our brains work. We practice breathwork, meditation and have lots of fun. Aerial yoga uses a hammock (often referred to as a silk) as a prop to bring traditional yoga poses off the floor and even upside down. We invert, spin and do low flips but we do not do big drops and circus tricks like in an aerial arts class. Just as in traditional floor yoga, the goal is not to do harder "tricks" but to continue stretching and strengthening our bodies and brains and creating a mindset to carry us through life outside the studio. Class sizes are small and individual time is offered for extra help with poses or to teach a more challenging version of a pose if appropriate. Classes are all levels but new students (tweens and teens) are asked to take a $25 30 minute intro lesson to learn inversions, climbing and basic poses before the semester begins. All classes are drop off.
