Yoga Up is a boutique style aerial yoga and mindfulness studio in East Dallas originally designed specifically for kids and teens . We now offer "EARTH" classes (traditional floor yoga, breathwork and meditation) and "AIR" classes (yoga using an aerial hammock) for adults too. You will find a variety of yoga, meditation, energy work and breathwork classes and workshops with all the amenities we could dream up.
What is aerial yoga?
Aerial yoga, also known as anti-gravity yoga, uses a nylon fabric u-shaped sling suspended from the ceiling. These "hammocks" are used as props to create uplifted or inverted asanas. No previous yoga experience is needed. This is not an aerial arts class. We do, however, practice a few flips and tricks.
Aerial yoga may enhance flexibility, build strength, increase balance and coordination, relieve stress, calm the nervous system, and assist in self-regulation.
A little yoga speakeasy
We are located above Good Records at 9026 Garland Road. Go inside and up the stairs to "hang out" with us.
follow us!
Parking can be tricky. If you are unable to snag an open unmarked spot or a Good Records parking spot, you may park in the lot across from The Bike Mart. On Sundays or after 6PM you may also park in front of the Wig store. If you are a parent dropping off you may pull up anywhere while your child hops out 5 minutes before class begins. After kid classes I will walk students down the stairs and outside and make sure they are safely with you. If you decide to hang out at Lounge Here, Humble Pie or Good Records during class just text me and I will bring your child to you if needed (That's a great way to use their parking spots and support local businesses too). Basically, if you aren't parked out front just text me and let me know where to find you. I will check texts after class.
